MULTIFORM ANNOUNCE Multiform Technology Group, exclusive distributors of Meteor lighting effects, has announced that the Meteor Elipscan is now available for shipping.
The Elipscan is a low cost DMX-controlled pan and tilt mirror attachment for ellipsoidal spotlights which features advanced directional control with up to
four Risc processors working concurrently. The unit's heavy duty mounting plate fits into the industry-standard 6¼" x 6¼" colour frame holders, whilst adaptor kits are available on request for other models that do not conform. The Elipscan's all-metal construction promises robustness and reliability, as do the motors which utilise advanced 16-bit micro stepping to ensure the smoothest mirror movement. Realtime speed sensitive tracking (SST) offers continually variable speed as well as precise followspot-type control, added to which the independent pan & tilt speed settings enable chases to be quickly modified to create endless variations in design output. The Elipscan is available in three models. As well as the Basic and Pro models, a Pro Sound Model features sound activated stand-alone operation. Techno, rock and classical settings are available on this model to accommodate various applications and the unit creates pre-programmed patterns as well as random pattern generation. The Pro Sound Elipscan can also control other Elipscans while in sound-activated stand-alone operation with the resulting effect of a fully orchestrated light show independent of any other type of DMX control.
